meet maple!

this is maple. maple is a red panda who, over the past 2 years of her life, has discovered that she loves bows. whether it be white bows, pink bows, small bows, ones tied with ribbons, or hair clips. they're the best thing she's discovered, after maple syrup of course. it's ironic, but fitting that she likes maple syrup, considering that's what her parents named her after, it worked out well in the end.

maple was born and raised in the chengdu research base of giant panda breeding, also with her older sister cinnamon. even though cinnamon is 4 years older than maple, they've always been close. granted, they fight every other day, but as far as being siblings go, they get along very easily. they're biggest disagreements usually spawn from who gets to lie in the best tree. there's a perfectly shaped nook in the branches that's perfect for long naps, so naturally it's always a race to who gets it for the day.

some of her favorite things to do in her free time involve lying in trees, napping in trees, sleeping in trees, eating bamboo, napping some more, and of course, playing with cinnamon. she's tried, multiple times, to get better at tying the perfect bow, but as it turns out, her paws aren't designed for it. regardless, maple's love of bows results in most of her free time, which is all her time, discovering new ways to incorperate them into every part of her life. in the end, her day to day life is one she considers perfect for a red panda.
